Samsung Galaxy S8 launch event is finally over, bringing the first flagship model of the company after the Galaxy Note 7 debacle. At the Galaxy S8 launch, the South Korean titan emphasised on features such as the Infinity Display, Bixby, and content-centric services using the Gear 360 camera, among others. While the smartphone has a lot to offer, it will still face a lot of competition, primarily from the likes of iPhone 7, OnePlus 3T, and LG G6.
Samsung Galaxy S8
The new Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch bezel-less ‘Infinity Display’ with 1440×2960 pixel resolution, octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, up to 256GB storage expansion, 12-megapixel Dual Pixel camera, 8-megapixel front camera, 3000mAh battery with fast-charging, Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, and USB Type-C port.
iPhone 7 Plus
Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5-inch screen with 1080×1920 pixel resolution, iOS 10.3 operating system, quad-core A10 fusion, 3GB RAM, 32/ 128/ 256GB storage options, 12-megapixel dual camera setup on the back, 7-megapixel front camera, 2900mAh battery, and Lightning port.
OnePlus 3T is another popular smartphone, offering a 5.5-inch display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution, Android 7.0 Nougat software, and Snapdragon 821 chipset. The smartphone comes in 64GB and 128GB storage variants, and has 16-megapixel cameras on the front and back. It also has 4GB RAM, USB Type-C port, and 3400mAh battery with fast-charging.
LG G6 has a 5.7-inch 1440×2880 pixel screen, Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, octa-core Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, up to 2TB microSD card support, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and 3300mAh battery.
