Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that's taken over our lives.
Woz believes iPhones are worth it.
In the end, it comes down to love.
That's seems to be Steve Wozniak's view about buying high-priced Apple products.
Speaking to journalists in Dongguan, China, earlier this week, the Apple co-founder explained why he thinks people buy iPhones, despite their elevated prices.

As the South China Morning Post reports, he said: “Apple products are safe. And Apple's pricing is high in the extreme. It's a safe bet for a lot of people.”
I always thought Apple products were supposed to be exciting, revolutionary even. The mere thought that the iPhone represents merely a safe bet borders on the depressing.
People used to buy iPhones so that they could show them off, not think of them as Linus does a blanket.
For Woz, though, this safety is coupled with something ..

Even though we’re a few months removed from the upcoming iPhone 8 release, rumors involving the iPhone 9 have already started trickling in. Presumably referring to Apple’s 2018 iPhone model, a new report from The Korea Economic Daily relays that Apple has tapped LG to be the exclusive battery supplier for the iPhone 9. As the report notes, Apple’s decision here represents a slight departure from the company’s traditional operating strategy. Specifically, Apple often likes to use a multitude of suppliers for various iPhone components, a strategy that helps it secure favorable pricing while also offering a hedge against any unforeseen technical or manufacturing hurdles.

Don't Miss: Exclusive: New renders give us our best look yet at Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8

Having said that, it’s perhaps possible that the battery performance and design LG is working on is sufficiently impressive as to convince Apple to go all-in with just one supplier. The report adds that the battery on the iPhone..

iPhone 8 mockups are a dime a dozen these days, but a series of concept photos put out by Gabor Balogh earlier this year are unquestionably a step above the rest. While most iPhone 8 mockups simply show us what Apple’s next-gen iPhone might look like from a hardware perspective, Balogh went the extra mile and put together a series of photos which illustrate how iOS 11’s augmented reality features might look on the iPhone 8’s edge to edge OLED display.

Don't Miss: Yes, the iPhone 8 is probably delayed. So what?

One of Balogh’s more intriguing photos, which you may have seen floating around in recent months, provides us with an idea of how augmented reality can be used to vastly enhance and improve the mapping experience. In case you missed it, the photo in question can be seen below.

Mapping apps have undoubtedly improved by leaps and bounds over the last few years, but there are still instances when users get turned around and confused, even with dir..

Apple released a new iOS update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch on July 19 — and if you haven't yet, you should download and install it now.

Lucy Nicholson / Reuters

There's a serious vulnerability related to the devices' Wi-Fi chip, and the new update, iOS 10.3.3, offers a patch for this specific attack.

Nicole Nguyen / BuzzFeed News

Before installing any software update, you should back up your iOS device.

In rare cases, software updates may cause data loss — or even “brick” your phone (meaning it won't respond if you try to turn it on or connect it to a computer). You can *never* be too careful!
You can back up your precious memories via iCloud (Settings > tap on your name at the top > iCloud > scroll down to iCloud Backup “on”).
If you don't have enough space on your iCloud account, connect your iPhone to your computer and back up via iTunes. There may be a pop-up asking you if you Trust This Computer (say yes), and a p..
